Seasalt Fish Grill

So this might be one of my new favorite places in Santa Monica. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall, but once you try the food it’s like dining at a gourmet poke restaurant at an affordable price.

I stumbled upon Seasalt with a few friends after reading a positive review of the restaurant on Yelp. When we arrived the place was pretty empty, but shortly after every table was full.

Seasalt has a few locations in LA including Santa Monica, Culver City and Downtown LA. Although I cannot vouch for the other locations, if they are anything like the Santa Monica one you should put it on your list of places to try!

Menu

The menu is pretty extensive for just being poke bowls. I ordered the California Poke bowl which had fresh Ahi Poke with sweet shrimp and surimi crabmeat for $9.99 -- yes under $10 for high quality, fresh poke, shrimp and crab.

My friends ordered a few different dishes. One ordered the Original Poke Bowl, which was just fresh Ahi Poke and sesame soy dressing -- delicious and simple. My other friend ordered the Poke 3 Ways, which consisted of  Hawaiian Ahi Poke, Spicy Ahi Poke, Salmon Poke. Served with Seasalt slaw and homemade tortilla chips. I highly suggest the Poke three ways as an appetizer for a group of people or for someone who wants to try a variety of flavors.

The manager was extremely accommodating to everyone in the restaurant and even brought us free churro waffles after we had to move tables to accommodate for a larger party coming in. I was pleasantly surprised with the hospitality and quality of food.

Parking

I walked to this restaurant after taking an Uber from my apartment to Santa Monica. Since the restaurant is located in a pretty central location of Santa Monica there are a few parking structures nearby as well as street parking!
