Beach Clubs in Capri

Capri, one of the most beautiful little islands I have been to. If you are planning to go to the beach clubs in Capri, make sure you have reservations at one of the beach clubs, in addition to lunch reservations. The beach clubs completely sell out almost every day!

Capri is about a 45 minute boat ride from Positano, if you take the fastest ferry. You can book tickets online or at the Positano Harbor. Once you get on the boat, get to the very top deck so you can see out and enjoy the views!

When you first arrive in Capri, I will admit, it can be a little overwhelming with tourists, shops, cars, etc. But once you take the cable car up to the top of Capri is starts to become a little less crazy. Take the funicular up the side of the mountain. You can purchase these tickets right next to the docks when you get off the Ferry.

Once you get to the top, it is still a long walk to the beaches themselves, so be prepared!

Da Luigi ai faraglioni

This is the beach club my family and I went to. You are perched up on the rocks with surrounding views of cliffs and ocean. We absolutely loved this spot, as it was significantly less expensive than the other beach club (La Fontelina), but still felt private, amazing views and had great food.

la fontelina

La Fontelina is the famous beach club in Capri. In order to book chairs at La Fontelina, you need to book a minimum of three days.  For us, that was not an option since we were only spending the day in Capri. If you are like me and can’t afford spending hundreds of dollars for a beach chair, my suggestion would be going to La Fontelina for a late lunch and asking if they have any beds you could take late in the day. Tons of the tourists tend to leave around 4pm and the beach clubs are sometimes willing to sell the chairs at a discounted rate for the last hours before sunset.
