My favorite Italian Spritz

And no, it is not an Aperol Spritz... as much as I do love those! My favorite Italian Spritz is called The Hugo!

I discovered The Hugo on my recent trip to the Amalfi coast. You could get it at pretty much any beach club or restaurant. It is the perfect combination of refreshing, slightly sweet and bubbly for a hot summer day.

Ingredients

  1. 1 Ounce Gin

  2. Half Glass Ice

  3. Good Splash of St. Germain

  4. 1 Lime Wedge

  5. Splash of Soda Water

  6. Fill remaining glass with Prosecco

  7. To finish, top with mint leaves

Serving size: 1 glass

Directions

Chill a glass in the freezer for at least an hour. Take the chilled glass out of the freezer and add half a glass of ice. Add 1 ounce of gin and a good splash of St. Germain. Add a splash of soda water (you can add a lot or a little depending on how strong you like your drinks). Next, fill the rest of your glass up with Prosecco. Finish off with a squeeze of lime and some mint.

Now serve and enjoy!
