Ultimate Instagram Itinerary for Palm Springs, CA

Ok, so this is my ultimate Instagram itinerary for Palm Springs. With trying to fit everything into a day, it can be difficult to hit everything, so I made it easy and split up the itinerary into morning, and afternoon/evening based on location of the spot. Please note every location is done by the route we took from LA. We were able to get all of this done in less than a day, so you can certainly do it too!

Morning

When to go: Between 7:00-9:00 am

Cabazon Dinosaurs

Address: 50770 Seminole Drive, Cabazon, CA 92230
Outfit Suggestions: Since there is already a lot going on in this photo, I suggest a more simplistic “road trip” outfit for this photo. Whites pop really well with this background, as well as yellows.

Tips: Get here super early to get the good shadows and avoid the crowds. Also, make sure to turn around and do some pic with the palm tress + desert in the background. If you are there early enough (7-8 am) you can capture a really pretty golden hour.

Welcome to Palm Springs Sign

Address:  Located at Amtrak Train Station

Outfit Suggestions: This photo has a pretty neutral background, so I would suggest some bright yellows, blues or caramels!

Palm Springs Windmills

Address: Park your car is at the Amtrak Station in Palm Springs or on the road.

Outfit Suggestions: I suggest wearing a serious pop of color here. Try a bright red or hot pink to stand out among the white sand desert and blue skies.

Tips: Drive up the road a little ways and stand on some of the sand dunes to get a better angel!

EMPTY ROAD

Address: Park your car is at the Amtrak Station in Palm Springs or on the road.

Outfit suggestions: I would try a bright blue or yellow here to match either the sky or the road markers!
Tips: Go early in the morning so there are no cars on the road!

late Afternoon/ Evening

Now for the afternoon shots. These locations get you out of the sun a bit since the middle of the day can be ultra hot! I suggest hanging by one of the pools or grabbing a drink in town as well.
