Restaurant Review: Xiao Bao Biscuit

We tried Xiao Bao Biscuit for the first time on our weekly Friday date night and it didn’t disappoint. They do not take reservations, so if you are set on going and not waiting in line, we suggest getting there on the earlier side.

To drink, Taylor got the Toña beer, which is a Nicaragua beer. It was delicious, light and perfect for a hot evening. I got a tequila drink with angosta bitters, lemon and aperol, it was almost like a Tequila Old Fashioned.

What We Ordered

  • Pork Dumplings

  • Bao Buns

  • Shrimp Fried Rice

  • PAD KRA POW: Thai style minced beef, green beans, chili and basil over rice with sunny side up farm egg

We both loved the dumplings, the broth had interesting flavors I wasn’t expecting, but made me keep going back for more. The Bao Buns were loaded with a good portion of meat and both entrees with large enough to share.

We ate completely family style, which is what the chef suggests. The Pad Kra Pow was one of our favorite dishes. It had a nice kick to it with chili, which was a perfect addition.
